Course Description:

Aaron Copland has been called "America's greatest composer." He devoted his career to fostering, creating and establishing distinctive "American" music. Join us as we explore Copland's life as a composer, with an emphasis on his lesser-known works. You'll travel side-by-side with Copland on a journey that mirrored the winding path taken by music in our country during the twentieth century. And, you'll experience a Copland that many are unfamiliar with.
