Course Description:

Whether you are a seasoned artist, a nature lover, or simply seeking a mindful connection with the world around you, join us as we embark on a captivating exploration of nature through observing and recording. Nature journaling promotes mindfulness, as it encourages you to be fully present in the moment and immerse yourself in the beauty of nature. It provides a calming and meditative experience, helping to reduce stress, anxiety, and promote relaxation. We’ll cover selecting the right tools and materials, setting up your journal, locations and opportunities, and experiment with various techniques to find your own style of journaling. No artistic experience required.

Location

Course will be presented live at CSUMB Ryan Ranch (8 Upper Ragsdale Road, Monterey) and a location TBD in the field and will NOT be recorded or available for viewing later. Seats are limited.

Facilitator:

Emily Hull-Parsons has enjoyed a 35-year career in the education and non-profit communities in Monterey County. Her regional consulting firm Creative Solutions! has provided training and management support to over 100 organizations across California. Emily is a practicing artist and an active docent at Point Lobos.
