Course Description:

Shakespeare employs twins and shipwrecks to weave two of his most beguiling plays. "The Comedy of Errors" (1593) is a tale of separation that delves into the essence of human identity. Lyrical, emotional and bittersweet, "Twelfth Night: (1601) is regarded as Shakespeare's most perfect comedy. While its title promises carnival misrule, the play delivers a searching as well as riotously funny saga. Taken together, these plays show Shakespeare's genius for juggling twisting plots and unforgettable characters.
