Course Description:

The earth's climate has changed dramatically over time and will continue to evolve into the distant future. Join Dr. Ed Clifton as he leads us on a fascinating two-part exploration of the past, present and future of climatic conditions on our planet. The first session will focus on the factors that influence climate as well as the techniques used by scientists to reconstruct ancient climates. The second meeting will review the earth's climate over time with special attention given to where our present climate fits in. We'll also look at both short- and long-term predictions of what lies ahead for our planet.

Each week, presentations will be delivered via email to view on one's own in preparation for live online discussion. We'll then gather via Zoom for a chance to ask questions and share observations with Dr. Clifton.
