Course Description:

As the saying goes, "If we were meant to stay in one place, we'd have roots instead of feet." Deep in our DNA is the urge to journey, migrate, roam, explore. Whether by choice or by necessity, whether seeking adventure or safety, we are all travelers. And visual artists have reflected that urge to trek - during the Crusades, global explorations, Dustbowl migration, contemporary immigrations, or just plain wanderlust and curiosity. In this course, we'll explore images of people on the move, and talk about the implications. Join with us on this journey.
