Course Description:

Poets have been writing about works of visual art since Classical times. In this two-session offering that coincides with National Poetry Month, we will embark on a close study of the correspondences between poems written about visual artwork. In a seminar setting, we will explore the connections that emerge between these two artforms. Diverse poems by poets including Jennifer Barber, Robert Hass, Gail Mazur, and others will be read and discussed while looking at reproductions of the artworks that inspired them.

Tuition: $30.00
