[Past Event] Shape of Water in Monterey County | In-Person (Limited to 50)

Course Description:

Water has always been the lifeblood of Monterey County but meeting our water supply needs has never been more challenging. This challenge has the county mired in endless studies and proposals, and an uncertain future. Very few individuals are as qualified to discuss the ongoing water issue as Marc Del Piero. A member of the Monterey County Board of Supervisors for over a decade, he also served for many years on the California State Water Resources Control Board. This presentation focuses on the history of water on the Peninsula, the critical impact of water rights over the decades, and the current water situation as well as a look to the future.
