[Past Event] Winter Wildlife of CA's Central Valley

Course Description:

Flocks of hundreds of snow and Ross's geese, sandhill cranes, ponds full of various duck species, and several kinds of birds-of-prey overhead will be only part of the many species visible on our day-long trek to the Central Valley wetlands near Los Banos in neighboring Merced County. Participants will also have an opportunity to observe magnificent tule elk and perhaps two owl species.

Transportation on one's own — please allow 90 minutes driving time each way. Directions to be provided. (Involves light walking on a paved road.)
