Course Description:

Join us for a compelling examination of recent women's issues and achievements, from the defeat of the first female presidential nominee to the historic inclusion of the first woman of color vice president. With the backdrop of thought-provoking documentaries and film clips, we will discuss the eruption of women's organizing from 2016 on, including the Women's March, #MeToo, #Times Up, Black Lives Matter and the fight for trans lives. We'll explore the experiences and narratives of women activists, writers, celebrities, artists, and politicians as well as recent key milestones, with the understanding that there is still work to be done.
