Course Description:

Take a deep dive into a vat of chocolate science and lore. From its ancient roots in the land of the Olmecs, this “food of the gods” has become a worldwide cultural and culinary force. How did the cacao bean come to both fortify warriors and soothe the broken-hearted? What is the process that turns beans into bars? And, what is the best way to savor, appreciate and compare chocolates? These questions, and many more, will be answered in this delicious two-part offering which includes a chocolate tasting as part of our final session.
