Course Description:

The highest diversity of plants and animals live in streamside environments. Within the Santa Lucia Preserve, Potrero Creek and the Carmel River, we have the opportunity to interact directly with the environment while learning about microclimates and food webs, with abundant examples at our finger tips.
(Note: involves some walking on an even, dirt path. Group will carpool from the Crossroads Shopping Center.)

Limited to 20 participants.

Course will be presented live at the Santa Lucia Preserve in Carmel and will NOT be recorded or available for viewing later. Seats are limited. (Note: Group will carpool from the Crossroads Shopping Center)

Kirsten Stember, Environmental Education Outreach Coordinator for the Santa Lucia Preserve, has more than 25 years of experience leading interpretive tours, promoting environmental stewardship, and creating curriculum for schools and adult groups.
