Exercise can be a means to maintain and improve physical function as it relates to fall prevention, independent living and quality of life. Dr. Maria Bellumori will explain how exercise impacts the brain and its ability to prevent or slow disease progression and ultimately improve both brain and body health.

Facilitator:

Maria Bellumori, Ph.D., is a kinesiology professor at CSUMB. She has a doctorate in biomechanics and movement sciences and has been working with older adults and Parkinson's disease patients for 12 years.
