Origami: Art of Japanese Paper Folding (Closed)

Course Description:

Everyone can learn how to transform pieces of paper into boxes, flowers and animals in the Japanese art form of origami. Lesley Hasegawa will lead you fold-by-fold to make a variety of paper creations. Every session will include instructor-led group practice and personal practice. You'll also learn about the history of origami and its current uses. All origami experience levels—including beginners—are welcome. A materials fee of $10 will be collected at the first class.

Facilitator:

Lesley Hasegawa learned origami from her father's mother, Yoshino Hasegawa, when she was 8 years old. She honors her grandmother by continuing to explore this beautiful Japanese art form and enjoys sharing the craft at local Obon and bonsai events.
