Course Description:Discover the art, history and cultural heritage preserved at the Boronda Adobe History Center, home to the Monterey County Historical Society. We'll begin at Ryan Ranch with an illustrated presentation on the Boronda family legacy, early California history, and the vital role community members play in saving historic documents, artifacts and buildings. For our second session, we'll meet in Salinas for an exclusive guided tour of the History Center, including access to rarely seen archives, historic buildings and museum exhibitions. |

James Perry is Executive Director of the Monterey Historical Society. He has consulted on a number of local project initiatives, including the Royal Presidio Chapel, and Missions Carmel, San Juan Bautista, Soledad, and San Antonio de Padua.
Rubén G. Mendoza, Ph.D., is a founding faculty member of CSUMB and has directed major archaeological investigations across the West.
