The past, present and future of Monterey County is as fascinating as the collections stewarded by the Monterey County Historical Society (MCHS). James Perry, Executive Director, will take us on a journey chronicling longtime community efforts toward the collection and preservation of our regional history. James will review the history of MCHS, the acquisition of the historic José Eusebio Boronda Adobe, present project development initiatives and future buildout plans of the Boronda Adobe History Center. In addition, he will share some of the highlights from the Pat Hathaway Collection and discuss the exhibits currently on display. A guided tour of MCHS in Salinas will be the focus of our second session.
