[Past Event] Interview with Elmarie Dyke – A Staged Reading | Gentrain MPC

Course Description:

Join us for a live performance that imagines a television interview with Elmarie Dyke in 1975, six years before her death. She will tell stories of people she knew, including Ed Ricketts and former Pacific Grove Mayor Julia Platt, and will share her recollections of, and opinions on, life in "The Last Home Town" starting in 1913. Don’t miss the chance to learn why Elmarie Dyke earned the name “Mrs. Pacific Grove,” and why she knows we will miss her when she is gone. The performance will be followed by a Q&A session with the actors and writer/director Carol Marquart.
